  1. Hi Nik!’Type is cheap’ – I love that line. I also agree with you that words written on a page are much more meaningful than words typed on a screen. The edits made with pen and paper will always tell us more about the writer’s journey than a smooth, clean, polished ‘Final Draft’ on a screen. Hazel

  2. Hazel , Thank you for the comment. The timing of this post is quite astounding in that I had written the words a few days before visiting an event at The British Library. There I discovered that the process of curating and preserving an authors manuscripts was drying up because authors use electronic means of creating and editing. As a result the redlining , marginal notes and comments are lost in the process. It is not as if emails or revision control are simple to maintain for the future. I do not have answers but I am glad that this project raises questions and appears to be introducing me to ideas that I would have otherwise sailed past. thank you for reading my posts.
